Two conversations, one room
Most AI communities only talk about the upside. We talk about both.
Real questions from this month's rooms. Nobody here is pretending to have it figured out.
What we can build
- →Which workflows are finally ready for agents — and which still need a person?
- →What can a team of three ship now that needed thirty in 2022?
- →Where are the boring, unglamorous AI businesses nobody is building yet?
- →How do we price products when the cost of intelligence keeps falling?
What we're afraid of
- →If an agent can do my job's first draft, what exactly am I paid for?
- →Are we training juniors, or quietly removing the rungs of the ladder?
- →What happens to trust when anything can be generated?
- →How do I keep up without burning out trying to keep up?
Who you'll meet
People, not profiles. Everyone brings a question.
The kinds of people this room is built for — and what keeps them up at night.
The founder
“I automate other people's work for a living. Some nights I wonder who automates mine.”
The Bharat founder
“My users speak Tamil and pay by UPI. Most AI playbooks were written for someone else.”
The ML engineer
“I can make the model better. I want to talk to people who ask whether it should ship.”
The IT services engineer
“Nine years at a services major. I'm not scared of AI — I'm scared of being slow to it.”
The SDR lead
“My team went from sending emails to running agents. Nobody wrote the playbook for that.”
The hiring manager
“Every CV says 'AI'. I'm looking for the people who have actually shipped something.”
India Rooms · IST
Building from Indore, Jabalpur, Bangalore and Pune. Not just San Francisco.
You don't have to move to Bangalore to build AI. Some of India's most determined builders are in Indore, Jabalpur and cities most of the startup world never looks at — and that's where the fear about AI and jobs is felt most directly too. So we run small in-person founder rooms city by city, plus weekly sessions on IST. In English, and in Hinglish when the conversation wants it.

What's inside
Less feed. More rooms, work and real opportunities.
Rooms
Topic and circle chats that stay small on purpose. Off the record by default, real names always.
Sessions
Short, practitioner-led courses. No gurus — just people showing exactly how they did the thing.
Projects
Members team up on builds. Engineers, founders and marketers in one squad, with a four-week deadline.
Opportunities
Jobs, co-founder matches, pilots and advisory seats — shared inside before they're shared anywhere else.
Founder, B2B agents · Founders circle
We dropped per-seat pricing last month. Outcome-based is scarier to forecast but customers finally stopped asking 'how many humans does this replace?'
Head of Ops, fintech · Operators circle
From the buyer side: that question is the whole politics of the deal. If your pricing makes my team look redundant, legal and HR get involved and it dies.
Applied AI engineer · Engineers circle
Happy to share our eval harness — it's how we proved the 'outcome' part to procurement without hand-waving.
How invitations work
Deliberately slow. Deliberately small.

Beyond the funding headlines: the real questions Indian AI founders discuss in private — building from Indore and Jabalpur, enterprise sales, building for Bharat, selling globally from IST, and AI and India's IT jobs.

Questions, answered plainly
Why is TopAImate invite-only?+
Because honest conversation needs trust. We cap each cohort, review every application by hand and keep rooms small, so people can say what they actually think about AI — including what scares them.
Who gets accepted?+
People doing real work in AI, or seriously moving into it: founders, engineers, managers, marketers, SDRs, recruiters and career-changers. We care more about what you're building and how you think than your title.
How long does review take?+
Applications are reviewed weekly. Most people hear back within 5–7 days. Some are invited to a 15-minute call first.
What are circles?+
Every member joins The Commons. Circles — Founders, Engineers, Operators, Go-to-Market, Hiring and Job Seekers — are private spaces that unlock when you meet their bar. You can belong to more than one.
Is TopAImate only for the US and Europe?+
No. We run India Rooms — in-person founder sessions in Indore, Jabalpur, Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi NCR and Hyderabad, plus weekly online sessions on IST — and new cities open when enough members ask. Some of our most honest conversations happen there, especially about what AI means for India's IT services workforce.
Is it free?+
The founding cohorts are free for accepted members. We'd rather earn the right to charge later than sell seats to anyone who can pay.
What if I'm not accepted?+
You can re-apply next cohort. Many members got in on a second try, once they had something shipped to show.
If you're building the AI era,
there's a seat for you. For now.
